Rolfo ICE attended the Bari stage of Frigo’n’Motion, the national event dedicated to refrigerated transport and the cold chain.

The challenge of food safety and sustainability runs through the refrigerated boxes of trucks and vans. For one day, Bari was the epicenter of this logistics revolution. The city hosted the tenth stage of Frigo’n’Motion, the “Tour of Italy” dedicated to temperature-controlled transport, promoted by the Interdisciplinary Observatory for Food and Pharmaceutical Transport (OITAF) to celebrate Apulia’s vocation in a crucial sector that ensures the quality of agri-food and pharmaceutical excellence.

    The
focus of the event, organized by Petrarolo & Co. and Rolfo ICE, is twofold: ecological transition and real economy. Underlining the strategic importance of the sector, Franco Fenoglio, General Advisor of Rolfo Holding and board member of FFSS, stated:
“We have the best food in the world, but when it comes to transport, we must do everything possible to ensure it reaches supermarket shelves without compromising its quality. Apulia is an exceptional region, and that’s why we start here to highlight what we consider a strategic asset.”

During the event, held at the port’s Cruise Terminal, OITAF presented its Scientific Report preview, showing how Logistics 4.0 can guarantee much higher transport efficiency and a reduced environmental impact.

Finally, Mario Aprile, President of Confindustria Bari-Bat, proposed creating an agency for attractiveness to strengthen manufacturing, particularly the processing industry.
    The
Frigo’n’Motion initiative does not stop in Bari but continues its journey, leaving Apulia with a commitment to make temperature-controlled transport the key to future safety and economic development.
